Patrice Masse from Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada made television history on The Price is Right by almost perfectly guessing the total of the day’s showcase. Masse bid $39,500 on a prize package valued at $39,501, making him a double showcase winner and earning him $83,068 in prizes. The host, Drew Carey, was amazed, calling it the best showcase bid ever on the show. Masse received a brand new Kia K5 GT-Line, luxurious trips to Milan, Italy, Hawaii, and Miami, and designer apparel from Versace, Gucci, and Coach among other items. In the show’s history, only a few contestants have come as close to the total showcase price as Masse did. His wife Tina was ecstatic, and The Price is Right airs weekdays on CBS.
