Hatch Baby has recalled nearly 1 million Rest 1st Generation sound machine adapters due to a shock hazard. The recall is specific to power adapters manufactured by Jiangsu Chenyang Electron Co., which can come off the wall socket, exposing power prongs and posing a risk of electric shock to consumers. The affected adapters, with model number CYAP05 050100U, were sold between 2019 and 2022 at various retailers and online platforms. Hatch has received 19 reports of the plastic housing coming off, resulting in two cases of consumers experiencing minor electrical shocks. Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled adapters, cut the cord, and contact Hatch for a free replacement. The company is working with the Consumer Product Safety Commission to ensure consumer safety and prevent further incidents.
