A recent survey by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia revealed alarming trends among high-income Americans, with over 30% of individuals earning between $100,000 and $149,999 worried about paying their bills. Surprisingly, those making over $150,000 are also facing financial concerns, with about 32.5% expressing worry. In comparison, lower-income earners making between $40,000 and $69,999 showed a lower level of concern at 29.8%. Despite a healthy economy, high inflation and interest rates have taken a toll on American households. Grocery prices have surged by 21%, while shelter costs have risen by 18.37%, leaving families struggling to make ends meet. As a result, many are dipping into savings or relying on credit cards to cover basic expenses. In addition, a Gallup poll reflected growing pessimism about the economy under President Biden, with only 38% expressing confidence in his ability to handle economic issues.
