'Joey Chestnut Dominates Hot Dog Eating Contest at Fort Bliss Following Nathan’s Competition Ban'

Despite not competing in Coney Island this July 4th, Joey Chestnut kept his tradition of winning a hot dog eating contest alive by devouring 57 hot dogs in five minutes at Fort Bliss Army base. The four Army soldiers he faced managed to eat only 49 hot dogs combined, falling short of beating Chestnut. Major League Eating banned Chestnut from the Nathan's Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest in New York due to his partnership with a rival brand, surprising both fans and the competitive eating world. Nonetheless, Chestnut's victory at Fort Bliss, where he slowed down his pace but was inspired by the crowd's cheers, showcased his dedication and skill. The event raised money for Operation Homefront, with Impossible Foods CEO presenting a $106,000 check after the win. Fans can catch Chestnut competing on Labor Day against rival Takeru Kobayashi on Netflix.
