Shifty Shellshock, the lead singer of Crazy Town, has tragically passed away at the age of 49. Born Seth Binzer, he formed the band in 1992 with co-founder Bret Mazer, eventually achieving success with their hit single "Butterfly" in 2000. The band's debut album, The Gift of Game, reached No. 9 on the Billboard 200 chart. However, their sophomore album Darkhorse did not meet the same success, leading to their breakup.
Shellshock was candid about his struggles with substance abuse, seeking help on shows like Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew. His untimely death at home in L.A. is still under investigation. His legacy lives on through his music and survivors, including his children Halo, Gage, and Phoenix. His impact on the music industry, especially with Crazy Town's memorable hit, "Butterfly," will be remembered.
