A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' Spinoff from 'Game of Thrones' Starts Filming with Star-Studded Cast from 'The Crown,' 'True Detective'

Production has commenced on the highly anticipated "Game of Thrones" spinoff series, "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms," in Belfast, Ireland. The adaptation of George R. R. Martin's novella "The Hedge Knight" will follow the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire, Egg, 100 years before the original series. Five new actors, including Finn Bennett and Bertie Carvel, are joining the cast alongside Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell. Directed by Sarah Adina Smith and Owen Harris, the series will introduce viewers to the Targaryen dynasty, including Prince Aerion, Prince Baelor, and Prince Maekar Targaryen.
