HP is set to release the new HP OmniBook Ultra in August, featuring an AMD Ryzen AI 300-series processor with integrated AMD Radeon 800M graphics, up to 32GB of RAM, and Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports. Priced at $1,449.99, this laptop will receive a free software update to become one of the first Copilot Plus PCs not powered by an ARM-based processor. The OmniBook X AI laptop was previously released with an ARM-based Snapdragon X Elite processor but will now be surpassed by the new Ultra model offering up to 55 TOPS of NPU performance. The Ultra model also includes updates such as a higher resolution webcam, quad speakers with DTS:X Ultra, and a larger battery. Despite the larger battery, the OmniBook Ultra offers slightly less battery life than the X AI model.
