Adult Swim is expanding its lineup with two new series, including an adaptation of Anthony Bourdain's graphic novels. "Get Jiro!" is a half-hour animated show based on Bourdain's popular DC/Vertigo graphic novels, following a revenge-focused sushi chef in a future Los Angeles where murder is the norm to secure a restaurant table. The series is created by Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka, known for last year's film "Sharper" and NBC's "Superstore." Another new series, "Super Mutant Magic Academy," from creators J.G. Quintel and Jillian Tamaki, explores a high school with mutants and humans navigating relationships and powers. Additionally, "My Adventures With Superman" has been renewed for a third season. Adult Swim's growth coincides with the launch of the streaming platform Max in Europe, giving fans more access to their programming.
