Apple's Vision Pro Team Developing Affordable VR Headset: Reports

Recent reports suggest that Apple may be abandoning plans for a new high-end Vision headset due to sluggish sales of the Vision Pro. Instead, the tech giant is focusing on reducing component costs for the first model and developing a more affordable Vision headset set to launch by the end of 2025.
The Vision Pro, released earlier this year, offers impressive VR capabilities but is bulky and comes with a hefty price tag starting at $3,499. Apple's cheaper Vision headset, codenamed N109, aims to retain high-resolution displays while making the device at least one-third lighter.
Apple's goal is to offer the new headset at a price comparable to a high-end iPhone, with estimates ranging from $1,500 to $2,500. However, the company is facing challenges in cutting costs without sacrificing too many features, potentially delaying the release beyond 2025. Apple has not yet commented on these developments.
