Apple has kicked off its Back to School promotion for U.S. college students, offering a free Apple gift card with the purchase of select Mac or iPad models, as well as a 20% discount on AppleCare+ plans. Students can snag a $150 gift card with a new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, or iMac, while receiving a $100 gift card with a new M4 iPad Pro, M2 iPad Air, or Mac mini. The gift card can be used on a variety of Apple products, services, and more. The promotion is available online and in-store for students, faculty, parents, K-12 employees, and select others. Running through September 30, the offer complements Apple's standard educational discounts and has already expanded to Canada, India, and potentially other regions. Europe and additional areas are expected to join in soon.
