Apple has already begun development on its major operating systems for 2025, including iOS 19, macOS 16, watchOS 12, and visionOS 3, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The codenames for the updates are "Luck," "Cheer," "Nepali," and "Discovery," respectively. Even though the current major software updates for Apple's devices have not been released yet, the company has started work on the next versions in preparation for testing new hardware products scheduled for launch next year. Details about the features of these upcoming operating systems remain unknown at this early stage. Gurman also mentioned in his "Power On" newsletter that the Vision Pro headset could gain Apple Intelligence in the near future, potentially aligning with the development of visionOS 3. Public beta versions of iOS 18, macOS 15 Sequoia, watchOS 11, and visionOS 2 are expected to be released next month, with the official versions coming in the fall.
