Apple is anticipating strong sales for the upcoming iPhone 16, with reports suggesting a significant increase in chip orders compared to last year. The company has boosted its A-series chip order from TSMC by 10 million, indicating a potential sales range of 90-100 million units for the new line-up. Despite rumors of Apple changing its chip strategy to give all four iPhone models the same chip, it appears to be simply a shift in naming convention. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will feature a new A18 Pro chip with advanced AI and graphics capabilities, while the base and Plus models will have a slightly updated version of the A17 Pro chip labeled as A18. With the introduction of Apple Intelligence as a key feature, Apple is likely to see a significant increase in sales, as all iPhone 16 models will support this technology.
