Apple has officially confirmed the release of iOS 18 beta 2, set to launch next Monday. This update comes two weeks after the initial announcement of iOS 18 at WWDC 2024. Notably, two new features, iPhone Mirroring and SharePlay screen sharing, will be included in iOS 18 beta 2. Although some features announced for iOS 18 are not available in the beta version, they are expected to be added throughout the testing process. Unfortunately, Apple has announced that Apple Intelligence and certain iOS 18 features will not be available in the EU this year due to regulatory reasons. iPhone Mirroring will allow users to mirror their iPhone's display to their Mac, enabling interaction, notifications, and drag-and-drop functionality. SharePlay screen sharing will offer enhanced capabilities for collaborating and controlling another person's screen. iOS 18 beta 2 will address bugs, tweak existing features, and introduce new enhancements. Developers can expect the release on Monday, followed by a public beta in July, with select Apple Intelligence features entering beta testing this summer.
