Apple has listened to health-conscious users and finally updated the Apple Watch with a highly requested feature: the ability to schedule rest days. This new feature, part of the WatchOS 11 update announced at WWDC, allows users to pause their activity rings for a day, week, month, or more without losing their streak. Fans have welcomed this change, as it provides flexibility to take a break without the guilt of not closing their Activity rings. The update aims to address the pressure users feel to maintain ongoing streaks while promoting healthy exercise habits. Alongside the rest day feature, WatchOS 11 introduces customizable ring goals by day and new metrics like Training Load and Vitals app to monitor effort levels and overall health. The update is set to roll out this autumn after a beta release in July.
