AT&T Next Up Anytime: Upgrade Your Phone Three Times a Year with a Price Tag - Is It Worth It?

AT&T has introduced Next Up Anytime, a new early upgrade program for customers on an AT&T installment plan, starting July 16th. Costing $10 per month, it allows subscribers to upgrade their smartphones after just one installment payment, up to three times a year. The existing $6 per month Next Up add-on will be discontinued for new customers, but existing users can keep it until upgrading. With Next Up, customers could trade in their devices after paying off half, but now Next Up Anytime allows upgrades after just 33 percent is paid. For those wanting more frequent upgrades, they can do so after one payment plus the first Next Up Anytime installment. However, they will miss out on upgrade promotions and are limited to three upgrades annually. Despite its convenience, this program may still be costly for those regularly swapping phones.
