Bob's Burgers Actor Jay Johnston Accepts Guilt for Involvement in Capitol Attack

Jay Johnston, the actor known for his role on Bob’s Burgers, pleaded guilty to charges linked to the storming of the US Capitol in January 2021. Facing up to five years in prison, he admitted to felony civil disorder and was released on a $25,000 bond after appearing in court in California. He was also charged with obstructing officers, entering restricted areas, and impeding passage on Capitol grounds. Documents claim Johnston participated in attacking police and incited others to join the chaos. Identified by associates and airline records, he booked a flight to Washington DC for the riot. As part of the ongoing aftermath of the insurrection, other individuals, such as Dana Jean Bell, have also pleaded guilty to criminal acts during the Capitol attack. Johnston’s sentencing is set for October 7, amid a wave of convictions related to the events of January 6.
