Singer-songwriter Dave Loggins, known for his hit song "Please Come to Boston," passed away at 76. While labeled a one-hit wonder, he had a successful career as a songwriter for country artists and composed the iconic Augusta Masters Golf Tournament theme. He was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1995. His hit song "Please Come to Boston" topped charts in 1974, earning a Grammy nomination. Loggins found success again in the '80s with a duet with Anne Murray. His compositions were recorded by numerous artists, with two reaching No. 1 on the country chart. Loggins' influence extended to the golf world with the Augusta theme. He described his creative process as inspired by nature, especially during his time at the Masters site. Loggins, survived by his sons and grandson, requested no funeral with donations to Alive Hospice.
