Composer Nomi Abadi is suing composer Danny Elfman for defamation, alleging that Elfman spread false information about her to the press. Abadi claims that Elfman dismissed her allegations of sexual misconduct as lies and portrayed her as a woman seeking revenge and money. Attorney Eric George filed the defamation suit on behalf of Abadi in the Los Angeles Superior Court. The dispute stems from a Rolling Stone article where Elfman denied Abadi's accusations and stated that they had a settlement and nondisclosure agreement in place. Abadi had accused Elfman of sexual harassment, including instances of exposure and masturbation without her consent. Elfman, known for his work in Oingo Boingo and collaborations with Tim Burton and Sam Raimi, has denied the allegations. The lawsuit represents a legal battle between two prominent figures in the music industry.
