Copilot Pro's GPT Builder Retired as Microsoft Focuses on Enhancing Core Experiences

Microsoft has announced that it will be cutting support for GPT Builder in Copilot Pro starting July 10, 2024. This decision will result in the removal of all GPTs created by Microsoft and customers, along with associated GPT data, to prioritize core Copilot Pro experiences. The move comes after the unveiling of a paid subscription for Copilot Pro in January, offering users enhanced access to the AI model directly from Microsoft Office apps for $20/month. Microsoft's focus on Commercial and Enterprise scenarios means that GPT creation will no longer be available for consumers. During the removal process from July 10 to July 14, 2024, all custom Copilot GPTs and associated data will be deleted. This decision aligns with Microsoft's strategy to refine existing Copilot experiences based on user feedback and improve overall user experience.
