The Delta iOS app has released a new update, version 1.6, that brings native iPad support, allowing users to play multiple retro games simultaneously. Previously, the app ran on iPad as a letterboxed iPhone app, impacting touch controls and screen usage. The updated version fixes these issues, utilizing iPad features like Stage Manager support and Split View. The redesign includes a new app icon created by Caroline Moore, moving away from a previous design that resembled Adobe's logo. The update also optimizes the UI for full-screen iPad display and introduces new virtual controllers for improved touch control. With iPadOS support in place, developer Riley Testut can now focus on adding device-to-device multiplayer and Sega Genesis emulation to the already feature-rich emulator, which covers classic game consoles like NES, SNES, N64, Game Boy, GBA, and Nintendo DS. However, Delta remains exclusive to iOS, with no plans for an Android release.
