Diablo 4's Season 5 will introduce a new wave-based rogue-lite mode called Infernal Hordes. By using an Infernal Compass, players can unlock this mode and earn Burning Aether to obtain powerful weapons and rewards. After successfully slaying the Hordes, players face the challenging Fell Council, defeat them to earn Burning Aether and exchange it for valuable items. The time-limited waves and Infernal Offers add strategic depth to the gameplay, with harder difficulties offering better rewards. Blizzard teases this new mode as only the beginning of the horrors awaiting players in the Realm of Hatred. Players can access the mode early through the PTR or wait for Season 5 to go live. The March of the Goblins event also offers rewards for dedicated players. Despite the game's roots in PC gaming, an Xbox email suggests Diablo 4 is popular on consoles as well.
