Despite earlier losses, U.S. stocks rebounded to trade in the green on Wednesday, with the Nasdaq Composite up 0.4% and the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average ticking up 0.1%. However, Nvidia stock slipped during its annual shareholder meeting, with no major announcements expected but a focus on reiterating the company's dominant position in AI. Meanwhile, FedEx shares surged following better-than-expected quarterly results, driven by cost cuts, with management evaluating its freight unit. Electric truck maker Rivian also saw a boost in shares after announcing a $5 billion investment from Volkswagen. Treasury yields and the dollar rose, while cryptocurrencies declined. The positive performance of big tech stocks including Nvidia helped lift the Nasdaq and S&P 500 into positive territory despite the majority of U.S. stocks falling the previous day.
