Netflix has given the green light to a new horror series set at a wedding, titled “Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen,” with the Duffer brothers of “Stranger Things” fame serving as executive producers. The show, created by writer Haley Z. Boston, follows a bride and groom in the week leading up to their ill-fated nuptials. Boston is also the showrunner and an executive producer alongside the Duffers and Hilary Leavitt. Netflix's Vice President of scripted series commended the collaboration, praising Haley's unique vision. The Duffers expressed excitement to produce Haley's first show, highlighting her twisted, terrifying, and funny writing. The series order follows a first look at the final season of “Stranger Things,” which is halfway through production. The Duffers are also working on other projects under their Netflix deal, including a “Stranger Things” spinoff.
