Hidetaka Miyazaki, the creator of Elden Ring, is open to players using mods to enjoy co-op gameplay in the game from start to finish. In an interview with PC Gamer, Miyazaki expressed support for the modding community's efforts to enhance Elden Ring's features, including the Seamless Co-op mod. While the game was designed for a more casual drop-in, defeat a boss, drop-out style, Miyazaki mentioned that they are not opposed to players who want to experience the game entirely in co-op mode. He stated that they are open to considering ideas like full co-op gameplay for their future projects. Elden Ring has achieved significant success, with 25 million units shipped worldwide since its release in February 2022, marking a strong start for the new franchise.
