In an interview with PC Gamer, Miyazaki expressed support for the modding community's efforts to enhance Elden Ring's features, including the Seamless Co-op mod. While the game was designed for a more casual drop-in, defeat a boss, drop-out style, Miyazaki mentioned that they are not opposed to players who want to experience the game entirely in co-op mode. He stated that they are open to considering ideas like full co-op gameplay for their future projects. Elden Ring has achieved significant success, with 25 million units shipped worldwide since its release in February 2022, marking a strong start for the new franchise.
