Critically acclaimed video game Elden Ring released its Shadow of the Erdtree downloadable content (DLC) on Friday, causing a frenzy among fans. The expansion allowed players to explore the Realm of Shadow in search of Miquella the Empyrean, facing challenging bosses and discovering new weapons and armor. The game, developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco, has sold over 25 million copies since its release in February 2022. Directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki and with input from George R.R. Martin, the game offers players an immersive open-world experience in the Lands Between. With gameplay ranging from 15 to 30 hours, players have the opportunity to fully customize their characters and explore secret areas in an expanded map. The DLC, priced at $40, is the first expansion of Elden Ring and is available on various gaming platforms.
