Elon Musk, billionaire and CEO of SpaceX and X, has announced plans to relocate the headquarters of both companies from California to Texas in response to a new parental notification law. The law prohibits schools from requiring teachers to inform parents when a student changes their gender identity. Musk, who has an adult transgender daughter, expressed outrage over the law and stated that it was the "final straw" prompting the move. He also cited other laws in California that he believes are detrimental to families and companies. In addition to moving SpaceX to Starbase, Texas, Musk confirmed that X (formerly Twitter) will also be relocating from San Francisco to Austin. This decision aligns with Musk's recent shift towards Texas, a state known for its conservative politics and favorable tax environment. His outspoken political views, including recent endorsement of Donald Trump for president, reflect a growing trend of criticism towards left-leaning policies.
