Aston Martin is set to produce an “extreme” road-legal version of its Valour sports car, called the Aston Martin Valiant, commissioned by F1 legend Fernando Alonso. Alonso's impact at Aston Martin has been significant, with eight podium finishes in his first year at the team. The Valiant was created by Aston Martin’s Q division, with Alonso's input for a more track-focused, race car-inspired design. Equipped with a powerful 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, producing 745bhp, the Valiant is said to be the most extreme front-engine road car by Aston Martin. The car features advanced technology, including carbon ceramic brakes and a titanium exhaust system, and boasts an obsessive weight-reduction program for enhanced performance. With only 38 units to be sold and a price estimated at $2.56 million, the Aston Martin Valiant will be showcased at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, driven by Alonso himself.
