Production has begun on HBO's Game of Thrones spinoff, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, in Belfast, Ireland, starring Peter Claffey as Ser Duncan the Tall. The series follows the adventures of a young knight and his squire, Egg, a century before the events of Game of Thrones. Alongside Claffey, Dexter Sol Ansell will play Egg. The new cast also includes Finn Bennett, Bertie Carvel, Tanzyn Crawford, Daniel Ings, and Sam Spruell. Details on the adaptation of The Hedge Knight are still under wraps, but directors Owen Harris and Sarah Adina Smith are on board for the six-episode series. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is set to premiere in late 2025, offering fans a deeper dive into the rich world of Westeros. George R.R. Martin may even consider writing more Dunk & Egg stories in the future.
