Ford and Tesla are both issuing recalls for pickup trucks due to various issues. Ford is recalling over 552,000 F-150 trucks in the US because of a transmission problem that can cause sudden downshifting into first gear, posing a safety risk. Tesla, on the other hand, is recalling more than 11,000 Cybertrucks for windshield wiper and exterior trim concerns. Ford stated that a signal loss between sensors caused the transmission issue, leading to rear tires sliding or locking up. Ford expects a fix by the third quarter with notification letters sent out after July 1. Tesla's recalls involve front windshield wipers failing due to excessive electrical current and loose trim pieces in the trunk bed. Owners will receive notification letters starting in August. Despite the recalls, there have been no reported crashes or injuries related to these specific issues.
