French prosecutors have formally requested charges against director Benoît Jacquot for the rape and sexual assault of several actresses, including Judith Godrèche and Isild Le Besco. Godrèche, now 52, alleges Jacquot raped her when she was just 14 and their relationship lasted for years. Le Besco, aged 41, also claims Jacquot assaulted her when she was a minor. Another actress, Julia Roy, has accused Jacquot of sexual assault as well. Prosecutors are seeking to charge Jacquot with crimes against Le Besco and Roy, but not Godrèche. Furthermore, Godrèche has also filed a complaint against director Jacques Doillon for sexual assault. The allegations against Jacquot and Doillon are serious and disturbing, shedding light on abuse of power and assault in the French film industry.
