French prosecutors have requested rape charges against director Benoît Jacquot following allegations by actresses Isild Le Besco and Julia Roy. Jacquot was taken into police custody for questioning on the accusations by Le Besco, Roy, and Judith Godrèche, although charges have not been pressed in relation to Godrèche's complaint. Godrèche was the first to come forward, detailing a relationship with Jacquot that began when she was only 14. Encouraged by Godrèche, Le Besco also filed a complaint, describing a manipulative relationship that began when she was 16. Le Besco claimed that Jacquot gained complete control over her during the filming of his movie Sade in 2000. The accusations highlight a pattern of abusive behavior by Jacquot towards underage actresses. Additionally, director Jacques Doillon was also questioned on a complaint of "rape with violence" by Godrèche. Jacquot has denied all allegations but the prosecutors are yet to make a decision on the case.
