Gas Station in Rockford Experiences Canopy Collapse During Severe Sunday Storms

A Flood Warning has been extended for the Rock River at Afton in Winnebago and Rock Counties, Illinois and Wisconsin. The warning also continues for the Rock River near Lebanon in Dodge County, Wisconsin. Minor flooding is occurring and expected to continue until Wednesday morning. Residents are advised to exercise caution when walking near riverbanks and to avoid driving around barricades or through flooded areas. The flooding has already caused damage to property in the Afton area, with minor erosional damage to lowland and agricultural land in both Afton and Janesville. The river is expected to crest just after midnight tonight before falling below flood stage early Wednesday morning.
