Google's Pixel VPN causing issues with app and website functionality
Tech & AI | June 21, 2024, 6:43 p.m.
Users of Pixel devices may encounter issues with certain websites and apps failing to load, potentially attributed to the VPN by Google feature. Recently, reports have surfaced of difficulties accessing popular websites such as Amazon while the VPN by Google or Google One was active on Pixel 7-8a devices. The problem did not seem to affect other devices utilizing the same VPN services.
By disabling the integrated Google VPN, users could resolve the loading issues with affected websites. However, the VPN by Google One continued to function normally even after the deprecation date on June 20.
If experiencing this problem, simply turn off the VPN or exclude critical apps that need to work as a temporary solution. Despite the ongoing issues for some users, others have reported successful reconnection and restored functionality after disabling the VPN.
