Google Cloud's Vertex AI is enhancing its capabilities to combat inaccurate information in apps and services. With the recent addition of utilizing third-party datasets from providers such as Moody’s and Thomson Reuters, Vertex AI aims to improve AI results for its customers. This new feature, set to launch in Q3 this year, is part of Google's efforts to promote "enterprise-ready" generative AI experiences and reduce misleading information.
Google is also introducing a "high-fidelity mode" that allows organizations to source information from their own datasets, rather than relying on external sources. Another update includes expanding Vector Search to support hybrid search, improving the accuracy of finding images and graphics. Additionally, Google Cloud is working on a "dynamic retrieval" feature for Grounding with Google Search, which will automatically select the best information source for prompt-based queries. These advancements indicate Google's commitment to providing reliable and authoritative machine learning capabilities through Vertex AI.
