Google Maps is expanding its capabilities for iOS users by adding a speedometer and speed limit indicators, a feature previously available only on Android and Waze. With this update, iPhone users can now monitor their driving speed directly within the app. To activate the speedometer, users simply need to navigate to the Settings > Navigation section in Google Maps. The speedometer will display in the bottom left corner of the screen and change colors if the speed limit is exceeded. However, Google emphasizes that this feature is for informational use only and should not replace a car's built-in speedometer. The update has already been seen in use by users in India and will be rolled out globally in the coming weeks. This enhancement serves as a valuable tool for providing greater insight into driving habits and ensuring safer travels for all.
