Google is introducing Material 3 to Meet on the web, with a focus on improving the in-call experience and making meeting features more accessible. This includes updates to in-call controls, picture-in-picture mode, and color palette enhancements. The design update does not affect functionality and is available for personal and Workspace accounts. Additionally, Google is adding support for third-party add-ons in Google Meet on Android, allowing users to access apps like Kahoot! and Figma during video calls. These add-ons can be found in the Activities tab under "Installed add-ons" and are only available to Google Workspace customers. These updates aim to enhance the overall user experience of Google Meet and make it easier for users to interact during virtual meetings.
