Popular sleep aid device company, Hatch Baby, is recalling over 900,000 Rest 1st Generation sound machine adapters due to a shock hazard, working in partnership with the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The recall specifically targets power adapters issued by Jiangsu Chenyang Electron Co., with the white housing posing a danger of coming off, exposing the power prongs and potentially causing a shock. Hatch is taking proactive steps to ensure consumer safety and prevent incidents, with 19 reports of the housing issue, including two cases of minor electrical shocks. The impacted adapters, identified by the model number CYAP05 050100U, were primarily sold online and in various stores between January 2019 and September 2022. Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the recalled adapters, cut the cord for verification, and contact Hatch for a free replacement.
