Jerry Bruckheimer and Joseph Kosinski have come together once again, after their work on Top Gun: Maverick, to create the Apple Original Films project, F1. The film, produced in partnership with Formula 1 and its teams, offers a behind-the-scenes look into the world of motor racing.
Starring Brad Pitt as a former driver returning to Formula 1, alongside Damson Idris as his teammate, the movie promises to incorporate real F1 drivers and events from races. The film, with a reported $300 million budget, faced delays due to industry strikes but director Kosinski stepped up to continue filming, ensuring no reshoots were necessary.
Scheduled for a June 2025 release, the movie captures the intensity of Formula 1 racing through real-time footage shot at iconic racetracks. With an authentic portrayal of the sport and a gripping narrative, F1 aims to entertain both racing enthusiasts and general audiences alike.
