Today, on June 18th, Qualcomm launched its largest foray into the laptop market with the introduction of its Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus processors powering new PCs named Copilot+. These systems, available online and in retail, showcase Microsoft's Copilot+ AI PC initiative, offering features like Co-creator and Windows Studio Effects. Despite some initial setbacks, these systems are now prominently displayed at Best Buy in Manhattan. The retail displays feature colorful placemats mirroring the new default Windows Desktop on Copilot+ PCs, helping them stand out. Qualcomm's Snapdragon X processors are currently the only option for Copilot+ PCs, with AMD and Intel set to offer support in the future. As tech media start putting these new machines through their paces, we eagerly await performance numbers and hands-on impressions of these exciting new Windows 11 on Arm devices.
