Google's Phone app on Pixel devices is introducing a new "Lookup" feature with its latest update. When you receive a call from a number not saved in your contacts, simply tap on the call in the Recents tab to reveal the Lookup button. This button allows you to quickly search for information on the number, including the country code, by opening Google Search.
The Lookup shortcut saves you time and effort compared to the previous method of copying the number and manually searching for it. This quality-of-life improvement is currently available on version 132 of the Phone app for Pixel devices, with a server-side update rolling out to most devices.
Additionally, a shortcut to set contact ringtones is now visible in Phone Settings, following the recent addition of Audio Emoji. Stay tuned for more updates on Google Phone as these new features continue to enhance the user experience.
