Google has introduced a new AI-powered video creator called Vids, available to users in Workspace Labs. This app, part of Google Workspace, allows users to create collaborative videos for work environments, such as team recaps and training reels. By entering a prompt with details about their idea, users can have Google generate a storyboard that can be edited and customized with stock videos, images, and music. The editor interface offers the option to record a voiceover or use a generated voice. While the homescreen features a Material Theme layout, the editor uses Material 3 design elements. Currently limited to Workspace Labs users, Google Vids will eventually be available with Gemini for Workspace. This innovative tool offers a convenient way for users to create professional and engaging videos for various purposes within the Google Workspace ecosystem.
