iOS 18 Beta Testers Still Unable to Access Apple Intelligence Features After Three Releases

Apple is currently in the beta-testing phase for its upcoming operating system updates, with the rollout of the third developer betas for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15 Sequoia, and more. While many new features are available for testing, the highly anticipated Apple Intelligence features are not yet accessible. Reports indicate that these features are present in current versions but are non-functional placeholders.
The delay in testing the Apple Intelligence features suggests that Apple may have been caught off guard by the intense interest in generative AI. These features will be introduced gradually, with some, like the new Siri, potentially not being ready until 2025. The rollout will initially be limited to US English and newer Apple hardware.
Despite the slow rollout, this approach contrasts with Microsoft's haste to implement AI-powered features, resulting in delays and security concerns. Apple's careful deployment of generative AI features may prove beneficial in the long run.
