Apple is set to introduce a periscope zoom lens to both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, moving away from making this upgrade exclusive to the top tier model. However, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that the tetraprism camera specifications will remain unchanged from the previous year, potentially disappointing customers looking for lens upgrades. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are expected to have a 5x optical zoom, with Genius Electronic Optical joining Largan Precision in the supply chain to help with the production of the new lenses. Despite this, Kuo reports that Largan will not see a decrease in shipment price, indicating a favorable position for the lens manufacturer. Additionally, both iPhones are rumored to feature Sony's new 48MP camera with dual-layer transistors. Stay tuned for more updates on additional upgrades to the devices.
