Apple Original Films has secured the rights to the murder mystery film 'The Wives', set to star Jennifer Lawrence and produced by both Lawrence's company and A24. The plot, inspired by the Real Housewives reality franchise, is shrouded in secrecy, with writers Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley on board to craft the script.
Lawrence, fresh off roles in acclaimed projects like 'No Hard Feelings' and 'Causeway', has also produced the documentary 'Bread & Roses'. Playwright Jeremy O. Harris, known for 'Slave Play', joins the production team alongside Josh Godfrey.
Apple's jam-packed upcoming slate includes star-studded films like 'Fly Me to the Moon', 'Wolfs', 'The Instigators', and 'Blitz'. Lawrence's production company and bb² are represented by top agencies, while Breslin and Foley are repped by CAA and Shreck Rose Dapello. This high-profile project promises to be a must-watch with Lawrence leading the charge in front of and behind the camera.
