Kevin Costner has confirmed that he will not be returning to the hit series "Yellowstone" for Season 5-B and future seasons. Despite speculation about his involvement, Costner announced his departure in a video posted on social media while promoting his new Western movie "Horizon: An American Saga." The decision comes after a busy year and a half working on "Horizon" and considering his role in "Yellowstone." The final half of the fifth season of "Yellowstone" is set to return with new episodes on Nov. 10, marking the end of Costner's portrayal of John Dutton in the neo-Western drama. While Costner expressed interest in returning to "Yellowstone," conflicting schedules with creator Taylor Sheridan led to his departure from the series. Paramount has also announced several spinoffs and sequels to expand the "Yellowstone" universe.
