Apple is releasing a new firmware update for AirPods 2, AirPods 3, AirPods Max, and AirPods Pro. The update will automatically install when your AirPods are charging and in Bluetooth range of your iPhone, iPad, or Mac connected to Wi-Fi. The current firmware versions for each AirPods model are listed, including the latest updates for Beats Fit Pro and Powerbeats Pro. To check your AirPods firmware version, go to Settings, Bluetooth, select your AirPods, and view the Firmware Version number. Remember, you cannot manually update your AirPods - updates are received automatically. Unfortunately, Apple has not provided release notes for the latest update, but it likely includes bug fixes and improvements. A major firmware update is expected later this year with the release of iOS 18. Stay tuned for more details.
