Meet Qinglong: China's Innovative Full-Sized General-Purpose Humanoid Robot

At the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) 2024 in Shanghai, China unveiled the open-source general-purpose humanoid robot Qinglong, marking its entry into the advanced field of full-sized humanoid robots. Developed by Humanoid Robots (Shanghai) Limited, Qinglong stands at 185cm tall and weighs 80kg, boasting anthropomorphic motion control and 43 active degrees of freedom. With a focus on rapid walking, obstacle avoidance, and stable movement, Qinglong aims to drive advancements in AI and robotics industries worldwide. The robot's unveiling, along with the launch of the OpenLoong open-source community website, signals China's commitment to accelerating innovation and collaboration within the global robotics community. Concurrently, Tesla debuted its second-generation humanoid robot Optimus, showcasing improved speed and dexterity.
