The United States men's Olympic soccer team, led by manager Marko Mitrović, has announced its 18-player roster for the 2024 Paris Games. With Colorado Rapids midfielder Djordje Mihailovic, FC Cincinnati defender Miles Robinson, and Nashville defender Walker Zimmerman as the "overage" players, the rest of the squad consists of players born after Jan. 1, 2001. While most club teams are not required to release players for the Olympics, this roster features a mix of MLS and European-based players. The team qualified for the tournament by winning the 2022 Concacaf Under-20 Championship, and will face tough competition from France, New Zealand, and Guinea in the group stage. With a focus on building a competitive team, Mitrović faces the challenge of creating a winning combination from talented individuals who have already represented the U.S. national team in various competitions.
