A recent update from Microsoft has caused a bug in Windows 10 apps, where right-clicking on a program's icon to perform a specific task will instead prompt an "How do you want to open this file?" dialog box. This issue affects various apps such as Outlook, Calculator, Teams, and more. While Microsoft acknowledges this bug, they recommend manually performing the task within the app. Surprisingly, in tests conducted by BleepingComputer, the dialog box did not hinder the app's functionality. Additionally, Windows 11 users may encounter a separate bug preventing the Microsoft Photos app from launching after a recent update. Microsoft is aware of both issues and is working on fixes to be included in future updates.
