Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass service is undergoing price increases and changes to its offerings. The company confirmed a price hike for Xbox Game Pass, as well as updates to the basic Xbox console tier. New members joining Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Xbox Game Pass Core, and PC Game Pass will see price changes, with existing members' prices set to rise later. Additionally, Game Pass for Console will be renamed Game Pass Standard, with different benefits. The price increases will vary by country, with US subscribers to Game Pass Ultimate seeing a rise to $20 per month and Game Pass Core 12-month subscriptions increasing to $75. A new option, Xbox Game Pass Standard, will be available for around $15 per month, combining console games with Game Pass Core benefits. This move comes as Xbox Game Pass continues to offer access to hundreds of games and exclusive Day 1 launches.
